Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better…
Martial Arts U 2007 was even bigger and better than last year! This seminar, hosted in Evansville, Indiana by Evansville ChunJiDo Academies and Tri-State Athletic Club featured instructors from across the US and around the globe.
One of the camp favorites, Bruce Shepherd, demonstrated his amazing talents in the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Mr. Shepherd is just coming off of a year of tremendous success in winning the US National Championships and the European Championship in 2005.
Grandmaster Klaus Schuhmacher kept things exciting and entertaining with his Progressive Hapkido and his wonderful charm. Attending a seminar featuring Grandmaster Klaus is an experience you will never forget!
Grandmaster Robert Cutrell demonstrated the very effective and fluid stick-fighting techniques from the art of ChunJiDo.
Michael Chappell was up from the “Lone Star” state of Texas to demonstrate his traditional Bo techniques from the art of Kempo Kobujutsu.
New instructors this year – Eric Crosby and Vanessa Bohleber – got everyone’s blood pumping with their high-energy Conditioning and Sparring drills… a workout the campers will not soon forget!
Also new this year from Canada was Wing Chun Grandmaster Werner Leuschner. Grandmaster Leuschner awed the group with his amazing centerline control techniques and lightning quick power point strikes.
We were all very happy and proud to see our Camp Host Nancy Cutrell presented with the World Martial Arts League Hall of Fame Award for the 2006 American Female Self-Defense Instructor of the Year. Nancy is very active in promoting Women’s Self Defense seminars throughout the area and has developed project “Heartshines”, an effort dedicated to promoting safety for women and children.
World-class instruction, energetic attendees, and a perfectly-hosted seminar made this an event to remember!
A Special Message from Grandmaster Robert Cutrell:
Thank you to all of the Instructors who took the time and energy to come to this event and demonstrate your amazing talents. You are to be commended for your dedication in growing and sharing the martial arts.
To our Participants, I think I speak for all of the instructors in saying, it was truly an honor and privilege to share our arts with you. I hope you took this opportunity to make new friends and meet others who share in your enthusiasm for the arts.
To my beautiful Wife Nancy, Tri-state Athletic Club, and all of the volunteers, THANK YOU for your hard work in making this a wonderfully hosted seminar. Without you this event could not be possible.
